Manning Stainton's Coffee Cup Relay: A Remarkable £15,775 Raised for Macmillan Cancer Support
The Manning Stainton team has joined forces with the rest of the Northern Estate Agencies Group to take part in our very own Coffee Cup Relay event. The challenge was to cover the Northern Estate Agencies network, by walking, running, and cycling. Covering 36 branches and over 180 miles, this challenge was a huge undertaking for the team.
The Idea
The event was a testament to Manning Stainton’s team spirit with Sales Negotiator, Jacob Onyando, from our Oakwood branch coming up with the idea. The fundraiser was organised to coincide with the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, with the event finishing on the day of the coffee morning. The teams from across the group came together, with over 85 people taking part in the challenge over 5 days.
The 180-Mile Journey
The 180-mile journey started at the Manning Stainton Guiseley Office on Monday 25th September. We then travelled across our branches in Leeds, Wetherby and Wakefield, finishing at Ryder & Dutton Huddersfield on Tuesday 26th. On Wednesday 27th we made our way down to Derbyshire to the Ryder & Dutton Glossop office followed by three long-running legs back up to the Greater Manchester area. The next day saw the team complete a total of 8 offices across Greater Manchester. Friday 29th saw the Coffee Cup Relay come to the finishing line, ending with a 13-mile walk to the Mortimers Clitheroe branch.
Our Commitment to Macmillan Cancer Support
Manning Stainton has been actively supporting Macmillan Cancer Support since 2012. This is a charity close to the hearts of our team, and we're so proud that we've raised over £250,000 for this fantastic charity for the Leeds and West Yorkshire area. Macmillan Cancer Support provides invaluable support to individuals and families affected by cancer. Through our Coffee Cup Relay challenge, we've raised an incredible £15,775 across our group, and this will help Macmillan in their vital work.
