Things to do this Summer in Yorkshire
Things are starting to look up, with restrictions set to lift on July 19th and summer fast approaching, we thought we would help you with your summer plans. Whether it be sports, music, beer or all three, that will get you in the summer feeling, we’ve got all options covered!
Ilkley Brewery Summer Beer Festival – 16th -17th July
There’s nothing like a cold pint of beer on a hot summer’s day. Running from Friday 16th July to 17th July, the family friendly, summer social is a must visit, especially after the year we’ve had! The festival has a great selection of beers and drinks on offer to enjoy, with tasty street food to indulge in and live entertainment! Tickets are only £3, so get the family together, let your hair down and enjoy your day.
Gateways Festival, Skipton – 6th, 7th, 8th August
Gateways Festival is set to be a weekend to remember. With headlining acts Razorlight, Scouting For Girls, Feeder and many more, you don’t want to miss it. If you prefer a sing along to a movie, Friday night brings you the best of the musicals on the large cinema screen, accompanied by a glass of bubbly and street food from the stalls. Whether it be dancing to live music, having a go on the fairground or great food and drink, Gateways Festival gives you it all!
Mardi Gras Proud in the Park – Roundhay 14th August
Transforming the famous Roundhay Park into a colourful spectacle of live music, food and entertainment, is Leeds Mardi Gras Proud in the Park! Two stages will fill Soldiers Field, featuring headline acts, such as Jax Jones, SIGALA, Disciples and many more. There will be an onsite food village with, Pizza Loco, Savvy Baker, Jennys Jerk chicken and many more to satisfy the tastebuds after a dance. Mardi Gras will be a great place to get your friends together and have the best time!
Hundreds Cricket – Headingley 21st July – 21st August
For all you cricket lovers, The Hundreds are a must go to. With 8 new teams and world class players, the 100 ball cricket competition is the perfect way to soak up the summer sun, whilst enjoying your favourite sport. The Hundreds will run for five weeks over the summer and would make an ideal day out for you and all the family. So, pick your date, get booking and watch exciting cricket matches!
Classic Ibiza - Temple Newsam September 3rd
Can’t go abroad? Not to worry, Leeds is bringing Ibiza to you this summer. The one day festival experience is full of classic Ibiza anthems with an orchestral twist. Featuring live DJs, performers, tasty street food, bars and even a glitter station, you will certainly be transported straight to the clubs of Ibiza. Get your best outfit on and dance the night away at Classic Ibiza.
Summer is definitely starting to shape up, so get involved with the fun and enjoy one of these great events!
