On February 21st, they’re also offering a SEND Relaxed Session, designed for those who prefer a calmer environment. This session features lower light levels, a sensory tent, and ear defenders, ensuring a more comfortable experience for all visitors.

Medieval Fun at Pontefract Castle

Pontefract Castle is hosting a range of engaging activities throughout half-term, suitable for children of all ages. Highlights include:

  • Medieval Monster Trail – Explore the legends of medieval monsters and uncover their fascinating stories while completing fun challenges around the castle grounds.
  • Creative Workshops – Throughout the week, kids can participate in Colour Chemistry, Clay Coaster Creatures, Soapstone Carving, and borrow Explorer Backpacks for self-guided adventures. Prices range from free to just £2.50 per child.
