Connections to and from Garforth are something to be admired. Garforth has two train Stations; Garforth Railway station and East Garforth Railway. History

Garforth has the local land-owning family the Gascoignes to thank for its rapid expansion during the 17th and 18th century. The Gascoignes ran several coal mines in the area, encouraging the growth of Garforth and many of the surrounding areas, including Micklefield, Kippax and Swillington.

From steakhouses to independent cafes, Garforth has it all in terms of bars and restaurants. Jigger and Jar on Main Street is the perfect place to enjoy unique cocktails and wine, accompanied by one of their charcuterie boards. Whilst the Miller and Carter on Selby Road will satisfy all your steak desires. If you’re looking for an authentic Woodfire pizza, the family-run 450 Degrees is a must-visit. Be sure to wash it down with one of their selection of craft beers or handpicked gins.
